Awww no happy end - still good though.

Author's Response: Nope. Sorry. These two weren't made for happy endings. *grin* I"m glad you liked it. Thanks for reading.

god that was awesome! sooo glad you wrote more. sometime a sad ending is just the right thing for a story!

Author's Response: These two in particular, needed a sad horrid ending. Sometimes people forget how much work a relationship can be, and what the damages of the fall out are. It was sad and fun to write. Thanks for the review!

Geez, for a guy with a powerful healing factor, Logan is doing a very good impression of a walking raw wound. This is powerful stuff. Good for him (or you) for losing the stoic, 'I can handle anything' facade and really letting her see what she's done to him. --Wendie

Author's Response: Thank you! I tried really hard to get his emotions across. (Which makes 1st POV harder I think, cause you're almost pretending.)

The por guy, I really do feel for him, although I'll probably never visit this world again. Neither of them want help from the outside world and Marie really has moved on. There is no happy ending here.

As for the 'I can handle anything' sometimes I think that as Authors in this fandom, we sometmes get caught up in the shit Logan spews about being invincible and immobile. And Sometimes, Marie just doesn't know what the fuck she's doing.

The intent here was to give a realistic look at a Marie who wasn't given a chance to letherlsf grow up (of her own volition here) and how that would affet her relatonship with Logan. Raw sexual attraction can sure help, but we all know that you can be attracted to someone with every fiber of your being, and hate their guts. Or at lest not be madly in love with them.

Meh. No tissues. But this did make me feel for Logan. And I think this has inspired me not to write things like this unless I feel something similar. The pain is what is going to keep love living for me. It always has.

Author's Response: I think that mostly the tissues were because I wrote it in first person. (Although there were no real tissues harmed during this creating, just some backhand swipes to my eyes.)

First person always gets me because I write to try to bring forth emotions in others bydisplaying them throgh the character. (Wow, a little introspective huh? lol)

But I'm glad you felt for him, and I'm glad I inspired you in some way. It's thrilling to inspire people. The pain for him is really what he fels is all he has left. Wether it's true or not, who's to say. This is 1st person POV after all. I'm glad you liked it.

Whatever your inspiration was, I'm so glad you found it. I just hate that she's in love with someone else--gotta be that Remy LeBeau, the Cajun is the only one who's even remotely good enough for her if she's not gonna be with Logan--but I love that she's conflicted about leaving Logan to suffer alone. Hate me if you want to, but I still can't wait for more! --Wendie

Author's Response: My inspiration is lots of things. LOL. My friend hidden_cait from ffn brought up some serious thoughts.

Originaly I had intended the boy friend to be ambigious, so whichever verse you wanted you could plug in whoever you want. But.... All they guys who have remotely been in her life before this would all be entirely too jealous to willing let her spend a night or two alone with him in a hotel room and alcohol. Let alone traipsing across teh US. So... I really have no idea who he is.

As for her, she is conflicted. THey boh are. They both no it'll just be best to let go but can't. Marie isn't wise enough to know he's mournng for as long as possible so that when he's old and not grey he'll still remember her. And Logan's to stubborn to let go of his double edged alcohol sword. He drinks to forget, he drinks to remember. They're just a couple of f**ked up kids who life screwed over.

I'm working on the next chapter.

Thank goodness you changed your mind on the one-shot thing. I'm really looking forward to more of this. Love the 'trail of broken bottles and piece of dignity' line. Great stuff. --Wendie

Author's Response: Thanks! I think that was one of my favorites. Although I really enjoyed his little escapes into fantasy as well. *grin* I'm still grumbling about having written it, but my Muse is demanding tat Marie have her moment. So It'll be intresting.
