Oh, so that explains it. Well I posted another one that comes as close to the original as I could remember. But enough about chapter 1...
"What little of Logan she had left in her head from the night before was screaming at her not to give up and not to lose the fight against the oblivion that was calling to her, telling her that he would be there soon. He would keep his promise. He would not leave her alone.
And he had come.
Though her eyes had been firmly closed as scream after scream was ripped from her throat, the Logan inside her had known that he was there- that he was right beside her, only separated from her by the rapidly spinning cage that she was in."
Good night, that is incredible! I would never have thought of the Logan in her head recognizing himself in the flesh. And you are so right that she is not merely 'a normal teenage girl with an attraction to her hero.' She's always been more than that.
I also dig your take on what Logan is REALLY thinking while he's in the med lab with Jean, despite what she thinks he's thinking. Very cool.
I can't wait for more.

Here goes nothin'--again. I reviewed this story this morning, but the review is missing now. Don't know what happened, but I'll give this another shot.
"He reached towards her to stroke the silver streak of hair hanging loosely, careful not to touch her skin- not that he was frightened of her mutation and what it could do to him. It was more that he knew what effect hurting others had on her."
This is a beautiful portrayal of the depth of understanding he has of who she really is. And the Wolverine's connection to her being more protectiveness than lust is a whole new twist on Logan's character. I love it. I look forward to the next chapter.
