I am thoroughly enjoying this AU fic. Reading about Logan in his cabin makes me picture Hugh Jackman in the recent Wolverine film, standing outside his cabin in just those thin, thin trousers....*drool* Yes, quite pleasant! :-P

Oh, what a lovely chapter! So well written. Nice show of emotion, great humour with the cat in the basket ;) and nice introduction to the rift and hint of intrigue with the hidden message in the paintings!
I like the pace, allows the story to develop :) don't feel you have to deliver us any L + M action sooner than the story would have it!
Author's Response: thanks for the review. i'm trying not to rush anything-- but, yeah, it's hard. i want to get down to the good stuff as much other people want to read it. :)

I like the way Logan and his grandmother finally talked... I wonder what's going to happen with Logan and Marie, and with Marie and Erik... Can't wait for the next update!
Author's Response: the next chapter should accomplish the story set up, and you'll know exactly which direction the story goes and how the title fits in. as for Logan and his grandmother... thanks. considering logan is notorious for having no family, I wasn't sure how the talk between the two would work out. but they did need to talk.

Nice start. Are you going to have Logan pursuing Marie in this one? That would be hot, especially since they are so different from one another. Can't wait for more!
Author's Response: well, marie was the focus of SoA. this time I want to give POVs from other characters as well so that it's not all about her. as for whether Logan will be pursing Marie instead of the other way around... well, I won't give any details away but the story summary should pretty much answer that question for you. Besides, we all know that Logan loves a good hunt. :D

This is AWESOME. I am loving this. Logan and Marie are so complex. I love that Amalia just described Marie to a T in this chapter.
