Wow, great premise, must admit never thought of the two in the same story. Marie and Yuriko, its a helluva combination, off to read the other chappies now, again great start!

Author's Response: I've always been bothered that Yuriko's appearance was so brief and her characterization so...well, nil; I saw her as a pretty cool character concept to build on, and decided to build it myself if no one else was gonna. (Funny how many of my story ideas start out with me saying something to the effect of, "If no one else is gonna do ________ with ___________, then I guess I'll just have to write it myself.") And, of course, it only occurred to me later that––and this is weird, but it came to me during a bout of insomnia so I'm not all that surprised––combining the names Marie and Yuriko into one name would lead logically to the name "Mariko" which kind of made me laugh, all things considered.

i love how this is so close to the movie but so different from it at the same time. having rogue absorbe lady deathstrike was brilliant. i'm sure wherever you choose to take this, it'll be great =)
