"I lied." Best. Line. Ever.

Wanted to read this before your newest companion piece, and I was not disappointed.

So deliciously painful (there must be something wrong with me, lol!). Well done!

It's good, although it threw me a bit when you changed tenses halfway through. I noticed that when you were in present tense you tended to go back to past every once in a while, too, as if you hadn't made up your mind what you wanted to do. (Was that enough of a critique?) All in all, though, a very interesting take. I liked your reasons for Logan lying. Yeah, they've been done before, but I think you gave them a fresh spin somehow. It's a little indescribable now, especially since I was reading this as a bedtime story (yeah, masochisitic, right?), but it's there.

I think I reviewed this over at ffdotnet, but I'll reiterate: love it! Really nicely done, and not predictable at all. :)

Wow! Great emo-content, and dialogue, and just.. wow!

Author's Response: Thank you! I was a little nervous about it, so I'm glad the emotion came through and the dialogue worked. ^_^

This was breathtaking! I loved it. More stories... more stories... more stories... (*chanting continues in distance*)

Author's Response: Hehehe....well, I've got a few ideas rambling around my noggin' so hopefully, something post-worthy will come of it. I'm very glad you enjoyed it. Thanks!

This was fantastic! I loved it! You should do a longer story just to satisfy my need to read your writing!

Author's Response: Thanks! Now that you mention it, one of the stories in my head would be a longish, multi-chaptered thing...but I won't start to post it until I am more satisfied that I have a grasp of where it's going. Thanks again!

Its 2:22 am and I re-read it just because I liked it that much

This was a-m-a-z-i-n-g!!! I loved every bit of it, I loved the conflict, the space she gets and the make-up part.

Love love love this story!!!

I like your Logan/Marie too

I really liked that part in the hotel room where she's sitting there and she tells him to stop saying her name and tell her how to make it better-I almost got goosebumps it painted such a clear picture.

Great job!!

Author's Response: Wow! That's such a compliment! I've read your stuff, you know! Back before I decided to bite the bullet and sign up for an account, so I couldn't review, but it's quite a compliment coming from you! My characterization of Logan/Marie was my biggest worry (especially with the end bit, so that you liked the part in the motel is especially soothing to hear!)

This is painful, because it's not happily ever after and their future agony (to say nothing of their current agony) underlies the entire piece, like the warp yarn of a weaving. It's a shaky foundation for what they have and utterly sad because you get to the end and just know that they'll suffer at the end, more than they deserve. Time is unforgiving and the Fates alter their course for no one.

Joltingly real. Affecting and effective. In spite of the darkness, thank you for sharing.

Melanie

Author's Response: Hi Melanie! Nice to meet ya! I think you got it spot on. It's the feel I got from the song, and as soon as I heard the song, I thought of the skeletal outline of this scenario (basically, the idea was: Marie tells Logan she loves him, he says he doesn't love her) and the rest just kind of flowed from that. But yeah, I couldn't make it a purely happily ever after and I'm glad you got that from the end -- that they're not going to have an easy time of it. I think, although I didn't necessarily mean it, part of the theme of this fic is Marie growing up.

aw that's one of the saddest songs ever *sniff*
and a very sad story...i'm so glad it had a happy ending though!
great job, i hope to read more from you =)

Author's Response: It actually is. It's probably sadder than I make it out in the fic, since I only took bits of the song for the fic, and the song is even sadder than the bits I took. Thanks for reading and I'm glad you liked it! I hope the muse is kind and gives me more to post! ^_^
