What an interesting little drabble. Much of the poetic verse is lost on me because I'm not too metaphorical, myself. ...but beautifully written. It begs an explanation. What is it that Marie knows? Why is she saying 'no'? Why are these their last words. What brought them to this point? So many questions! :)
