Phew!!! Not exactly the Shipper ending we hopeless lil shippers hope for; but certainly a nice place to re start. This story sat on my computer for weeks....the website just open to the first page of the story, not sure if I wanted to read it both because of the Angst label and the confusing reviews, but I'm glad I did. This ending is more like real life, with it's ups and downs and.......possibilities. Nicely done, Jen, nicely done.

Oh this is just amazing. I love it. All the build-up and the UST between them, and then the ending is happy but somehow bitter-sweet at the same time, and just a tiny bit heartbreaking. Fantastic.

That glimpse of a situation in the last sentence is VERY hot - and it's very unsettling to see how the two of them just don't get it in so many subtle ways in this chapter and the next.

This fic is well written and has a good plot but it leaves me sad even with the hopeful ending. I don't know why. But Logan to me somehow betrayed Marie by not fighting for her, by giving in to his insecurities. I like that Marie went to Alaska but I just wish things had turned out more positively for her.
