Author's Response: =) Ah, the torture of reading vague fics *g* Just hope you enjoyed it on some level. I like being able to make people think, ask questions, read between the lines etc, just like I enjoy provoking the reader =) But to answer your questions; yes and no. The guy Rogue is married to isn't Wolverine (then who is it? Could be anyone. Could be Remy, could be Robert. Anyone, I guess). She can't find in her marriage what she has with W, which is something forbidden, something they cannot speak about, something that no one must know about. They have to meet in secret (behind closed doors, in the dark) bc who would understand? Mystique knows, and doesn't try to hide it from R. And just like in the famous X2 tent-scene, she doesn't mind morphing into someone else to get what she wants - whatever that is. To her, the end does justify the means. Maybe W knows, maybe he knows M has been telling R about it, maybe M hasn't impersonated R at all and is just tormenting her by letting her think she has? maybe maybe maybe ;-) Lots of maybes *g*
