OOooooooooooo!?! She didn't did she?? But how the heck could she not love him? And, I'm speaking from the POV of all he does for her - i.e. touching wise; not the POV of a hopelessly, over-romantic shipper wanting nothing but happy endings. He's not afraid to touch her!
But, ok, I get that it's also just a juicy taste of all that she can't have; like potato chips? Betcha can't eat just one?!
Author's Response: Not to get too deep, but-- Its nothing to do with him. He's the personification of perfect, loves her for who she is and all that jazz. But she is so 'jaded' or pretty much emotional retarded because of her mutation. She wants to love him, she thinks she loves him, but she can't be sure. Basically she has gotten to the point that she has let her mutation get into her head and corrupt her emotions. How do you 'know' you love someone if you can't touch or feel them? Sure, he could tell her it doesn't matter but she can't believe that because she doesn't really know. So that lingering doubt will always be there. Woo...good review! :)

Gorgeous words! I had trouble getting into the flow of the piece at first, but halfway through it just started rolling and fitting together. Favorite chunk was >>> white mark and its chocolate companions

sad? yes. jaded? probably. heartwrenching? most definitely. But angst?? No way in hell!! Not with Logan saying 'I love you'; uh-huh, NO WAY!!
