I love this! I love this! I love this!
I felt like Logan, searching his memories over years and years, when I dug this song out of my memory bank a few months ago. I had heard it years ago, when it was first released and fell IN LOVE with it! But I never knew who sang it and I wasn't completely sure of the title, (Gosh, don't you hate radio dj's who don't announce the name of the damn song?!?) but I knew I remembered the line, 'If this is Austin, I still love you.' So, I started looking around on itunes and voila! There it was! Bang. Zoom. Downloaded instantly. And now I stumble upon a Rogan songfic based on one of my favorite songs of all time. This day just keeps getting better and better. I also read a story yesterday based on Bruce Springsteen's 'Thunder Road', which was fantastic. I think it was written by 'Kim' (not sure though and 'Thunder Road' was not in the title of the story.)
Oh, geez, I'm running off at the mouth.

This was one of those darn plot bunnies with Dracula teeth that just latch on and don't let go until you hit "Submit", and even then, your tush is so sore from the bite you can't sit down for 3 days!! I'm a huge Blake Shelton fan, so I just HAD to read this story when I came across it. :D
You were so right when you decided to write a Logan/Marie fic based on this song. It fits them perfectly. Bravo.

I don't really know how to comment on this, but I want you to know that I looked that song up after you posted this story. It was playing on and off over the last three days. And I found myself rereading this story at least five times.
It is beautiful.
I should come up with better words, but all I can think about is that this is really sweet.
I think you caught it perfectly how she tries to be content with what she got, that she actually has a pretty active social life, living while he is away.
And that he is acutally scared at the end and almost whispers... Like I said: just beautiful.

I very rarely go back and change stuff when I'm done. That's how this one went...just sorta flowed out my fingers to the keyboard. Thank you so very much for the FB.
