Ok I am thinking this is more than just about Marie's skin. It feels to me like Logan is actually afraid of letting her close emotionally and is unconsciously projecting that into his overwhelming fear of her skin. That make any sense? LOL Anyway I am enjoying this story a lot.

Still quite confused, and admittedly, I have been confused so long now that I tire a little of it. But perhaps it's not quite a taxing when you read the story in one go. Not sure.
Love this Logan - he's not the one from the films, but a very credible loony.

Yes, THIS is what makes a badass in my book, not a dirty wife-beater! Great!
And Marie is indeed a decent girl who knows no better or worse than to treat Logan like he was a decent friend, as well, in the face of all evidence to the contrary. Makes it interesting to watch.
Interesting also how shrewd an observer Logan is, especially in the one glimpse we get of Marie and Bobby - quite real, that.
Hmm... Perhaps the Professor is projecting here, worried out of his head about where this not-quite-relationship between Logan and Rogue might go? ;-)
Author's Response: This is confusing story. As confusing as the name of it hints. Confusing to write as well, because Logan in this one isn't my usual overprotective-in-love-with-Marie-will-die-for-her -Logan. In a way this is an outlet for me and Logie. When ever it starts to feel that my fics are getting too sugary and Logie too goggly-eyed all I have to do is to return, read this through and write some more. Helps me to focus.

I have a question that just sort of popped into my head. And if it isn't even relevent to this fic at all I apologize. I see how he is scared of her from the 'stabbing through the chest' scene, because she took from him. But then why purposely heal her at the statue? He knew her power by then. Again, just wondering, feel free to tell me to hush and just read :)
Author's Response: That's something I have been thinking. He was scared at the statue, too, but there really was no other choice. That's my guess. Of course rest of the movies were kind of letdown after that, seeing that you do not give your life for total stranger you don't even care that much. This is kind of related to this fic. Quite a lot related. I got my idea for this when I was thinking about differencies in those two scenes (bedroom and the statue).

This is going to take few more than just couple of chappies before I can end this, but we're getting there. All will be revealed in due time.

...Well now I'm just confused again. I'm sorry to say this but at first I thought your Logan was real, understandable, but I'm gonna say it. Now I just think he's fucked up.
