Incredibly visual. Incredibly dark. It felt so visceral, so unexpected. Almost helpless, like a spark in the darkness, one not destined to flame.
The whole thing rolled out inevitably, brutally, until the surprising moment when he missed - on purpose. And the even more shocking one when he killed one of his own. The bloody, pulpy aftermath.
Love the texture of the words: 'rolling back in his head', 'pumping', 'cutting the animal', 'red faced and gasping for breath'. The description of her breathing so hard, real terror. My favorite was the moment of silence: 'saw him brace himself as she knew by now soldiers did, before they moved in for the kill'.
Great stuff.
Author's Response: Thanks for the review, love the dark stuff, brutal and uncompromising, guess that's what Logan was in this part, what he became was not his choice, but what he becomes as a result of it just might be.

now, as intriguing as this is. there better be payback. personally I hope he retains all his memory. it would be more fitting.
Author's Response: Oh there is payback, whatever they did to him, being punished by your conscious has gotta be the best punishment.
He'll remeber what he did, he'll have to live with it, he'll be challenged and broken by it, but most importantly he'll have to come to terms with it.
Logan dark and angsty is one of my fave kind of anti-hero.

I like. I really like. So Logan, to do his duty until, WHAM, one day he realizes, hey, I can't kill a little girl! Very well done.
Author's Response: Hey may not have been able to kill her, but he's killed countless others before, and they'll haunt him, he'll have to work hard for redemption that's for damn sure.
