Author's Response: Gotta love the Goo Goo Dolls, perfect angst. Seeing Marie's first love will remind him of his own, but he has fragments, chinks of glass to help reflect the light and help free his soul. He's not ready to admit it yet, but maybe Marie will help him see, she can help make sense of the mess in his head.
