Absolutely loved this series! It's exactley how I would see Rogan dealing with a long life together. I've read this series a couple of times and just l never tire of it :) Thank you for sharing!

Hmm...you may be right about people growing more like each other after so long. Or they get more stuck in their complimentary contrasts.

I guess what I mean is that I usually read your Rogue differently. In earlier fics like Cravings or Ride or Angel, even 'No fucking place to hide' or the first part of Warrior, I saw her as his opposite - soft, patient, warm, giving, talkative, sassy, able to articulate feelings, marked, touchable, content to wait rather than act. Where they met was passion. She loved; he needed. I saw her more as a less obnoxious Cindy. Maybe that was all youth. In Warrior, we certainly saw her change over time (although I attributed that to necessity, need, and trauma).

Did your view of Rogue change, did time and age change her, or was I wrong all this time?

(And sorry to ramble AGAIN some more. *lol* I'm curious.)

Author's Response: Don't really mind, ramble all you like. Most of your ramblings give me new ideas. Has my view of Rogue changed? I don't know. I don't think I even have any particular view of her. Logan's persona feels more like mine, so it's easier to "step in" to his boots. With Marie it's more like I'm writing about a friend of mine, someone I know, but not close enough to form one, solid picture of her. This fic is my first serious attempt to build her a persona of her own instead of keeping her as Logan's shadow and a plot-device.

Is it me? Or is the Marie in this fic very much like Logan? Impulsive like him. Reticent and sometimes ill-tempered like him. Not entirely a people person, not entirely sharing. Needing a lot of space. Willing to let a lot of things slide until it comes out in anger. Unwilling to suffer fools. A gritty survivalist. Able to suffer a great deal. Needing very few things in life but needing those few things badly. Sometimes an angry or gloomy outlook on life.

Maybe she's more patient, less aggressive - but less like a personality trait and more like she's decided that, if she's going to be with Logan, *someone* has to be the patient and sane one. Most of the time. :)

I like her. I like them both. I especially love them together. They are at their best with each other and for each other. I wonder if they don't see the same things in Cindy that they want to save - even if she *is* annoying.

Anyway - I'm feeling portentous doom coming to get them again. Eek! I thought it was the years from 120-200 were the worst, that they'd settled into a way of letting go and living longer than they should already. But maybe I'm wrong. Maybe there's worse to come.

Even though this isn't happy, Ara, it still might be a favorite of mine. Just because it's so different and because if they're sad one chapter, it *could* be so much better the next. (*sigh* or vice versa) Like life, as you say.

Author's Response: The longer people spend time with each other, more alike they tend to become. Marie and Logan have been together well over 400 years, and they weren't much different from each other to begin with. So, it's not just you. I have a feeling that something's going to happen soon, don't know what it is, is it good or bad, but it has been too quiet.

**“So, how long have you two been together?”**

I'd like to know that too... one two or three centuries... or how long?

Good chapter!

Author's Response: Over 400 years.

Logan, Logan, Logan. Destined to be surrounded by smart mouth girls for eternity. Certainly Cindy has proven that she's not a real blonde, cuz 'okay' or not-- I'd do him. ^.~

Author's Response: The one from the movies? Definitely. I'd do him. But the one in this fic? Uhh... No. It has been pretty quiet, and he's been on a good mood, but I have a feeling that it's about to change.

Aw, Logan's a nice guy rather he likes it or not. Although, the blonde comments don't make me happy... :(

Author's Response: Apologies. This fic isn't intended to insult blond people as a group. Had a long, long day at school that is filled with teenage blondes, it's spring, and they seemed to have a big contest going on about which of them can show largest amount of bare skin without actually coming in to class naked. And that giggling. Don't even get me started about that. Or that whispering and staring. Just because they are willing to show everything at once to everybody, doesn't mean that I'm a freak or a nun if I have decent clothes on that fit! Huh. Finally got that off from my chest. Thanks!
