Good going - thanks for being faithful to your story and not making them an item. It would be completely forced on every story level.
Here, we have a rather selfish and unsociable man and a needy, persevering and (to my mind) pestering kid (which, frankly, would drive me nuts were I in Logan's place).
And they STILL share a bond of sorts, which is here much more amazing than in all those "helpless infatuation" stories.
P.S.: Just realized that I actually meant "imaginative powers" of your readers. *embarassed blush* It *was* a rather long day yesterday...
Author's Response: It was a long day for me too, don't fret over it... :) In this one it would have been quite impossible to make them fall for each other. granted, Marie has a crush, she may even be in love with Logan, but Logan's still too wrapped up to Jean to fall for Marie. And there's the whole age-difference that's starting to effect to my stories more and more for some reason. Marie pestering? Noo... Really? ;)

Ooh you're evil. YOu can't leave them like that...they deserve to be together. Loved the story though. It was angsty and touching and poetic. Great job!
Author's Response: What they deserve and what fits in to this story are two completely different things... But at least Logan agreed to go home with her, and realizes that it's time to start behaving. I don't know will he be able to, but we can always hope. :)

I'm glad you're doing another chapter to this one. I'm really enjoying it. I love your Logan in this, how's he's blunt, and even how he's true to his feelings for Jean. Make's me hurt for him, and for Rogue. Good stuff *g*!

I love how the chapters are sort of following the movies, really cool. Marie's a stubborn little babydoll ain't she?

Style-wise, these two chapters might actually the best I've read from you so far! With very few exceptions, register and grammar fit Logan very well indeed; great how his moods flow and turn.
The sparse descriptions, the terse language and the strong reliance on dialogue work great together in giving us Marie, Logan (outside view) and Logan (inside view) and even Jean (through the eyes of Marie) - all intricately woven and welded together like damascene steel.
Though there is not much action, it makes an exciting read as the story challenges the reader all the time to look for small clues, to figure out what happened on the basis of some remark. Lovely exefcise for the imaginary powers of your readers, and the story does not once let them down by being unclear or openly secretive. The device also nicely illustrates how much more important than the outside world their inside world is to them right then.

Author's Response: Thank you! I think this whole fic was my muse's revenge for "Cold Shower". I'm glad this works. for a moment I was worried if I left this a bit too vague. :)
