Author's Response: We did think of that, and from the emotions in the team meeting that time, they know something is up. Well, that and the wrecked kitchen - but they don't know exactly. We're gonna keep them in the dark, because to write what they might think would have us at about 5 extra chapters ;) Let's assume there's a lot of "WTF?"s floating around the mansion. :)

What! Okay ladies, you have left us with some pretty mean cliffhangers but this one.....I cannot even figure out the outcome of this one.
Damn Logan! And I feel a lot for Victor and of course Rogue as well! Oh man, this just sucks for all of them. What a heartbreaking chapter. Please tell me things are going to look up in the next two chapters!! (or if not, you could always write a few more chappies after that. ;-)

Author's Response: Well things may look sideways in the next chapter then maybe up a little in the last one. We don't really do sad endings...but we also don't do "walk off into the sunset" endings - but I promise we won't leave you all heart broken. :)

Gah, Logan leaving her like that???? :(
But I guess I can understand it, Logan has always worked hard to cage that beast within, the idea to him that he could lose it like that with the girl he's cared about for so long must be devastating for him.
He needs to reconcile the parts of him that will him to lose control and the part that wants to hold back, to be gentle and as tender he believes Rogue needs him to be.
He's got a struggle ahead, breaking Rogue's heart like that has to be just as painful for him. Look forward to the next chapter and reading 'bout Logan's struggle, but is that right only 3 more to go?!

Oh, man. Am humbled. No longer enjoying the doom. You guys! Meanies. Poor Rogue and Logan and poor, poor Victor.

I didn't want it to happen. Was peeking through my fingers the entire time, because I was expecting something like Logan's leaving at the end here. And I knew how very badly that would go. I don't know that Rogue thought it was fixed, but she thought it was fixable. But Logan - he's lacking in a bit of hope, actually, and that makes him act in these ways.

I wonder what their misunderstanding at the end of this chapter says about their relationship. Logan needs to leave. Rogue needs to be able to tell him how much it means before he does. Do they not know each other well enough - because there's a huge difference between friendship (one based more on connection than real confidences) and a romantic relationship? Is it that they don't trust each other enough, or trust themselves? Are they simply in too much pain to register the pain in the other?

Because I'm seeing real doom-y doom now. Because Logan deals with things by going into deep denial and suffering. And Rogue prods and pokes and provokes and puts herself out there until she can't bear it anymore, and she lashes out and seeks comfort elsewhere. That line: "Fine ... how about I make it real easy for you, Logan," she said...ouch. Poor Logan, even if he deserves it. And don't think I've forgotten that a very crushed and wounded (and angry) Victor is still at the mansion.

*sighs* Oh, dear. Is this a greek tragedy by any chance? *lol* *pets them all*

Author's Response: And the sad part is, it is just like Logan to leave to figure things out. It's not that he doesn't want it, he's got to come to terms with it. Rogue only sees the man she wants, the man she slept with, leaving her. Of course that's all she'd see b/c it's happening to her. But maybe, after a little time apart, a little reflection for both of them, and a hurt third party that only knows how to give it to people b/t the eyes - they may gain a little insight. Perhaps?

Oh ya'll are just mean! I thought I had happiness, I thought I had closer and 'happily ever after'. But noooooooooooo. Gah! Forget Rogue, MY poor emotions. *sigh* K, next chapter. *g* :D

Author's Response: I know, Logan upset me too. I wanted to end it after the hot sex...stubborn muses! There's still a bit more to tell.

Oh, poor Victor! I can't help but feel for him a bit. AND he was the one who got her the sexy-sorry knickers! Oh man, the plot thickens! What is going to happen next?!! I can hardly stand it!

God the tension, its a killer, biting my nails all the way through that meeting, waiting for Creed to do the inevitable and tell all.
And you know what, just a little bit of me wished he had, Rogue treated him pretty badly, and Creed the asshole that he can be, is mightily sexy when he's all hurt and fighting hard to pretend he isn't.
