Christ, talk about chalk and cheese with 'Oak and Holly' but as you know I don't mind a little walk on the dark side and I have to say I enjoyed this.
It may have been an extreem reaction to what could happen yet not that extreem that it wasn't completly believable.
'Tears fed the grass as he walked out of the cemetary to the cold all around him, it's numbness welcome to his senses. He'd left his humanity in the ground, all there was left was animal and it was time it was put down.'
I thought that ending was one of the best I've read anywhere.

Logan threatening to neuter Scott [always good! though is it really a logan/scott good thing or just a man being threatened with neutering - hubby tells me we women are far too obsessed with liking the idea in general!]

Author's Response: This is a stand alone honey, it's in Pagan Lovesongs because it's got a thread in it that will become clearer later and it has a Pagan theme to it. This tale is a one off and nothing to do with Holly Rising, sorry for the confusion hon. Hugs Jo.

Oh, WOW! I mean, just...whoa!! I'm completely in love with take-no-prisoners!Rogue! HOO-RAH!! I applaud her attempts to keep her calm and discuss everything like a responsible adult. But man, oh man, when Scooter let it fly that he wasn't letting her play her adult part; YEAH!! Off come the gloves!!(figuratively as well as literally)
And HIM!! What an SOB!! From planning her life all out for her to letting Logan take the blame for the fight! I don't *ever* recall actually hating Scott in ANY fic I've every read. But, Jo? I hate him now!

Gawd, I love this! The Oak and Holly Kings feature heavily into my spiritual path, and I've always thought Scott/Logan were perfect examples, just as Apollo/Dionysus are, too. Other than a little confusing wording:

Oh! That was so neat!! What a unique and wonderful way to reinterpret the "triangle" relationship of L/M/S. I never thought of it that way...the self proclaimed protector (S), the maiden (M), and the reluctant knight (L).
Great story!
I hope we see more of this plot device...really want to see Holly kick Oak's butt!!
