I find myself always coming back to all your stories. I have reread them numerous times and are always so wonderful. I know that I will always come back and read these. You are an amazingly talented writer and I can't thank you enough for sharing these with us.
I've read this (and Fighter) a couple times before, but now I'm actually a member of this site so I had to let you know that you're an excellent writer. And you capture the two of them (and their relationship/connection) so wonderfully. ::happy sigh:: Thanks for the lovely story!
Oh, how I loved this story. Your writing was amazing and Logan and Marie were just wonderful. Thanks for a great read!
Author's Response: Thank you so much! This is one of my oldest stories; I'm so glad people are still finding and enjoying it!
"lets have some fun this beat is sick, I wanna take a ride on your discostick"
lol I brought Lady Gaga into by the "They're gonna have some fun" comment... I get distracted fairly easily, things and songs fly through my head if I even say a word in a certain way that reminds me of something, lol
I dont want it to be the only night he's with her!!!! Dont let it be so! Lol I know (or at least Im pretty sure) you wont... Right?
Author's Response: You know me so well already. (As you should by now, as you should...)
Yay!! They're gonna have some fun! (great now Lady Gaga is stuck in my head)
Author's Response: ...Lady Gaga...? Okay, the story is based on lyrics from a Simon and Garfunkel song and its sequel's titles are from arn"Flower" by Liz Phair. How did Lady Gaga get into it? ;)
Love this story as much as the first part, "Fighter." Glad you continued it. For some reason, this line made me laugh out loud:
What was it with this girl and pouring him drinks she didn’t intend to let him finish?
It's so dryly humorous, it's a wonderful line for Logan.
I've been reading all your stories today and love them, especially the AU "how-they-met" ones. This one was great. You managed to make Marie vulnerable-yet-spunky, which I think is a hard note to hit. Thanks for writing!
Author's Response: Thanks for reading! I appreciate all your kind words.
Okay, I'm such a dork I didn't realize I'd interspersed Artist into my earlier post (I'd read both at the same time and forgot where Fighter ended). I love this series..thank you so much for these beautiful stories.
Author's Response: Thank you for the lovely feedback. I'm especially touched at what you remembered from "Artist"--that kimono got a nice comment way back when it was first written by someone I was particularly close to, so you brought back some nice memories for me.
My first review :) I adore this story...one of my all time fave's. I love your variation of their first meeting..with an older, independent, knows herself-and what she wants-Marie. This maturity has given her a confidence and certain boldness w/o losing that sass, vulnerability and fun that Logan's always drawn to....I don't think he knew what hit him LOL. I'm also way happy about the morning after and your imagery is amazing...you know how sometimes certain things you read stick w/ you..for me it was the kimono with butterflies...still picture it. Thank you for this fabulous story..of course, I read Artist, and that deserves its own review.
