Ororo 'hurt' Scott's bike... ROFLMAO
Author's Response: I know, you have to think that Logan enjoyed that more than a little. I think he might have even wanted to make Scott do it, if he hadn't thought he might just puncture a tire or something.
Oh GOD Logan!!!! Scott is gonna...EXPLODE!!!
Author's Response: :-D Scott should really have learned his lesson by now.
Ooh, that's just mean. Poor Rogue, all manipulated like that. Loved the warm tone of the last two chapters, the slow trust that is building between them, even if Logan isn't being honest. He's going to pay. *nods* Really enjoying this!
Author's Response: Thanks so much for your review! Yes, he will pay dearly. Poor Logan, I actually just finished that chapter and I feel for them both. Hopefully the readers will feel the same.
Oh, this one is going to be a trip, I can tell! I really like the dynamic you have going between Logan and Marie in this one, and how she is growing to trust him, when she really probably shouldn't (at least he's a good guy in this one though, which is a plus - though I doubt Marie is going to see it that way!)
Kinda can't wait to see which ball of twine they go see, is that weird? Looking forward to more :-)
Author's Response: So glad you're liking it! And I can definitely promise that in the next chapter you'll find out which ball of twine they saw. ;-)
I'm really loving this! Logan is a smooth operator, but is he getting a little too close to his "target"? BTW, I liked the twist with the bike. I wasn't expecting that. The "not Scott" line makes sense now. I loved the fact that he was able to get one up on Scott by having a legit reason for getting his bike torched. LOL! I can't wait for the next chapter!
Author's Response: I'm so glad that you're liking it. And that you didn't see the bike thing coming. :-)
Dang, poor Marie is being played. :/ I don't think she's gonna be too happy when she find out. Great chapter, though. :)
Author's Response: Yup. :-)
I would NEVER have expected Logan to have lied to Marie about who trashed the bike. Marie is going to be way PISSED. This is going to be fun to watch. It will be interesting to see if the people who Marie referred to as looking for her aren't the baddy Brotherhood as we all assumed but our angelic little X-men. This is going to be really interesting.
Author's Response: Yeah, it's been hard, because I think Logan is not a sneaky guy by nature. That said, he is a professional badass, and I don't think it's like him to get squeamish if there's something that needs to get done to achieve an objective. I think in a situation like this, he'll play it as straight as he can, but if he has doubts he'll keep them to himself until it's time to act. As for whether it's the Brotherhood she's running from or not... Chapter Six will tell ya.
He just keeps digging the hole, doesn't he? She is going to be so pissed when she finally figures out he is not who she thinks he is.
Author's Response: Ayup. ;-)
Really still enjoying this story-line although it would be nice to see some qualms from Logan over deceiving Marie.
Author's Response: Next chapter. :-) I've been trying to alternate chapters between their points of view, and it's hard to get that across from Marie's point of view.
Marie is so going to kill Logan when she learns the truth. DAMN. Nice setup for the inevitable heartbreak. You mean author, you.
Author's Response: Well, I did promise to bring the angst! ;-)
Oh!!! LOL....I see why he didn't ask for Scott now! Very very clever...I love how you just slipped it in there...bravo!
Author's Response: :-D I was really surprised no one guessed!
Ah hah! Well, that explains the cryptic Storm reference. Logan, Logan, I hope Rogue kicks your butt from here to next Sunday when she finds out what you're up to! And is this an evil/manipulative Prof. X story? I always have such mixed feelings about those... but I'm loving this one!
Author's Response: :-D Yeah, I don't think Logan had much faith in Scott's ability to destroy his own bike. Probably would have tried to get away with just flattening a tire or something! Yeah, I don't actually like evil Professor X stories either. My Xavier is going to be a good guy. I think right now it's just a little intellectual to him. He's playing things strategically, and not really realizing how connected Logan and Marie are becoming.
